Lead Dental Assistant
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Lead Dental Assistant to join our team at The Dental Views in Glendale, AZ. Requirements
- Knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA Compliance Standards required
- Valid California Registered Dental Assistant license and certification required
- Current Radiographic Certification required
- Advanced knowledge and use of dental terminology preferred
- CPR certification required
- Current Infection Control certification required
- Means to travel from one office to another, as necessary
- Vast knowledge of different types of dental procedures
- Bilingual: English & Spanish preferred
Responsibilities and Duties
- Supervise Registered Dental Assistants and Dental Assistants
- Assist the Office Manager in implementing the Code of Safe Practices and monitoring OSHA and HIPAA compliance
- Responsible for inventory control and supply management
- Monitor chair-side assistants' time schedules and patient flow
- Supervise ordering and utilization of chair-side assistants' safety equipment
- Coordinate equipment repairs and maintenance
- Take x-rays as prescribed by the doctor and ensure all x-rays are formatted correctly
- Prepare lab cases and maintain all equipment following maintenance guidelines
- Attend and participate in team meetings and daily huddles
- Other duties as assigned by the Office Manager and Regional Manager
Education and Experience
- Graduation from an accredited Dental Assisting School preferred
- At least 1 year of recent experience as a Registered Dental Assistant is preferred
- 1 year of Dental Views experience may be considered
