Lead Dental Assistant

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Lead Dental Assistant to join our team at The Dental Views in Glendale, AZ. As a Lead Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in promoting a safe and clean environment for providing quality dental care, supervising non-professional dental back-office employees, and assisting our doctors in delivering exceptional patient care.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA Compliance Standards required
  • Valid California Registered Dental Assistant license and certification required
  • Current Radiographic Certification required
  • Advanced knowledge and use of dental terminology preferred
  • CPR certification required
  • Current Infection Control certification required
  • Means to travel from one office to another, as necessary
  • Vast knowledge of different types of dental procedures
  • Bilingual: English & Spanish preferred

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Supervise Registered Dental Assistants and Dental Assistants
  • Assist the Office Manager in implementing the Code of Safe Practices and monitoring OSHA and HIPAA compliance
  • Responsible for inventory control and supply management
  • Monitor chair-side assistants' time schedules and patient flow
  • Supervise ordering and utilization of chair-side assistants' safety equipment
  • Coordinate equipment repairs and maintenance
  • Take x-rays as prescribed by the doctor and ensure all x-rays are formatted correctly
  • Prepare lab cases and maintain all equipment following maintenance guidelines
  • Attend and participate in team meetings and daily huddles
  • Other duties as assigned by the Office Manager and Regional Manager

Education and Experience

  • Graduation from an accredited Dental Assisting School preferred
  • At least 1 year of recent experience as a Registered Dental Assistant is preferred
  • 1 year of Dental Views experience may be considered
