Job Summary:

In this full-time position, you will work under direct supervision to perform various tasks, including data entry, patient enrollment, and customer service. You will utilize Walgreens' pharmacy systems to retrieve patient and medication information, investigate missing data, and resolve exceptions. Your excellent communication skills will be essential in handling inbound and outbound calls, emails, and messages to patients, prescribers, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process new patient enrollments by entering data into the system, following Walgreens' data entry methodology and guidelines
  • Handle patient medication requests, enter refill orders, and investigate missing data
  • Resolve third-party rejections by reviewing, gathering information, making corrections, and resubmitting for processing
  • Provide support to pharmacists, both in-office and in other locations, and escalate issues to senior-level staff as needed
  • Maintain a dynamic professional license or certification, obtaining one within the first 90 days of employment if not already held

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Basic computer skills, including typing, mouse navigation, and internet browsing
  • Intermediate-level keyboarding skills (at least 25 WPM)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • 18 years or older

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of pharmacy experience in a retail or call center environment
  • Certification or registration as a pharmacy technician by the state or a nationally recognized certification agency
  • Experience providing customer service to internal and external clients, with a focus on quality standards and customer satisfaction
  • Intermediate to advanced-level keyboarding skills (at least 35 WPM)
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English
