About the position
Responsibilities
• Lead and drive solutions for stronger controls and support risk and regulatory compliance initiatives.
• Perform ongoing supervision and oversight of controls and share knowledge with team members.
• Responsible for risk data analysis, report preparation, and trend analysis using business intelligence tools.
• Anticipate business needs and proactively find opportunities to improve the control environment through actionable insights.
• Assist with translating control deficiencies into action plans and provide recommendations to enhance governance practices.
• Partner with team members to drive improvement efforts to correct or prevent unfavorable trends.
• Lead project teams through concept, planning, execution, and implementation phases for effective risk remediation.
• Counsel senior management on the status of their control environment related to risk identification and control weaknesses.
• Identify critical areas to monitor and bring up issues and findings to appropriate partners.
• Build and maintain processes, procedures, and tools for handling exception alerts as they occur.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or 4 years of related experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
• Minimum 6 years' experience supporting risk-related, compliance-related, or business control design activities.
• Knowledge of federal laws, rules, regulations, and applicable guidance including OCC Heightened Standards, BSA/AML, REG E, UDAAP/UDAP, TILA/REG Z, SCRA, FCRA, MLA.
Nice-to-haves
• Experience as part of the governance team for the Risk Identification, Assessment and Profile (RIAP).
• Ability to problem solve complex issues related to risk assessments.
• Experience generating risk reports from Salesforce RIAP tool or comparable GRC tools.
• Intermediate or advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivots, VLOOKUP's).
• General experience with Tableau and familiarity with common industry GRC tools.
