Location: Remote, US-Based Type: Full-Time | 1099 Reports To: Development Director Position Summary: We are seeking a technically skilled Accounting Manager to oversee financial reporting, month-end close, and capital tracking across multiple real estate development entities. This role will interface directly with our offshore accounting team to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of all financial deliverables. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of GAAP, fund accounting principles, and capital stack structures—including EB-5 or other structured finance programs. Responsibilities include validating monthly financial packages, managing source and use reporting, overseeing high-level budgets, and supporting audit and compliance processes. Key Responsibilities: • Review and validate monthly financial statements, general ledger activity, and reconciliations. • Oversee the month-end close process and ensure alignment across financial systems and reports. • Maintain project-level and entity-level Sources & Uses schedules; monitor compliance with capital structure requirements. • Support reporting for structured capital programs (e.g., EB-5), including tracking inflows, distributions, and investor-related reporting. • Manage high-level budgets and forecasting tools; identify and communicate material variances. • Coordinate with tax advisors, fund administrators, and auditors to support compliance and reporting cycles. • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting efficiency and accuracy. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred. • 5+ years of experience in real estate development, fund accounting, or financial oversight. • Proficiency in GAAP, capital stack reporting, and structured finance tracking. • Experience managing outsourced accounting teams or service providers. • Strong Excel and QuickBooks skills; familiarity with Smartsheet, Northspyre, or similar platforms preferred. • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
