Job title: Human Resources Assistant/Receptionist Company: Badger Bus Job description: The full-time Human Resources Assistant's daily workflow includes assigned and self-directed tasks. Assists by supporting company management and others with questions and follow-ups specific to Human Resources coordination. Reports to Business Office Manager. Duties/Responsibilities include and may not be limited to: • Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation. • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of files and records. • Answers frequently asked questions from management and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, etc.; coordinates with management and staff on more complex questions. • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately. • Provides clerical support to the HR department. • Assists with the preparation of governmental agency reporting and coordination. • Collects and maintains data and information required for benefits administration. • Assists with ensuring compliance with federal, state, payroll, wage & hour laws, and best practices. • Maintains or assists with the maintenance of employee records. • Facilitates audits by assisting with preparing records and documentation for audits. • May assist with accounting department tasks or other duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for self and others. • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Google Business suites, or related software. • Proficient with or have the ability to human resource information systems (HRIS), and similar computer applications. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. • Proficient with PC keyboarding skills. • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Business Suite, or similar software. Education and Experience: • A High School diploma or equivalent is required, • An Associate's degree or higher is preferred. • Prior related office experience preferred. Physical Requirements: • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. • Intermittent standing, walking • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
